Sandra Esther Rogers, age 67 of Weyauwega, died peacefully at her home on Friday June 9, 2006 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. Sandra was born June 30, 1938 in Racine, daughter of the late Leonard and Emily (Heinen) O'Connor. She married Dale Rogers November 2, 1957 at the First Presbyterian Church in Racine. Sandra lived in Racine until retiring and moving to Weyauwega in 1991. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. Her many interests included membership and moderator of the Presbyterian Women, knitting, sewing, bowling and crafts. Survivors include her husband: Dale; her children: Patricia Rogers, Racine; Colleen (Robert) Boelter, Fremont; John (Susan) Rogers, Queen Creek, AZ; Pamela (Robert) Baker, Racine; Steven (Kathleen) Rogers, Racine; her grandchildren: Joshua (Shelly), John Jr. (Heather) , Chantel (Stacy) , Matthew (Kellie), Adam, Ashley, Tiffany, Jason (Jessica), Samantha, Dana, Alex, and Bridget; great grandchildren: Adrianna, Noah, Saige, Sophia, Kaleb, Isaac and Emily; her brothers: Edward (Bonnie) O'Connor, Sun City, AZ; Samuel (Barbara) O'Connor and Robert (Evelyn) O'Connor, both of Racine; David (Karen) O'Connor, Cable. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Leonard O'Connor Jr. A Memorial Service for Sandra will be held noon Tuesday June 13, 2006 at First Presbyterian Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Craig Nelson officiating. Her cremated remains will be buried in Hatton Cemetery in the Town of Lind. Relatives and friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
