Sharon Leah (Schroeder) Kadolph, 91, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 with family by her side. She was born on October 20, 1933, at home in Northport, WI, daughter of the late Elmer and Bernice Schroeder.
She attended Stanley's Landing School through her elementary years, and then New London High School. She graduated with the class of 1952. She met Gordon "Bud" Kadolph in the spring of 1953 and they married in June of that same year. Together they had five children. She loved being a housewife and caring for the children. In 1973 she and Bud left Weyauwega and bought a family motel in Prescott, AZ. In her later years she would reminisce about how she loved the motel business and meeting new people every day. After selling the motel she and Bud moved back to Weyauwega in 1996. She wanted to be back to her childhood roots and closer to her family. During her twilight years she spent hours in her garden, watching birds, and putting puzzles together.
She is survived by her husband, Bud; a sister, Kathe (Bill) Jonely of Weyauwega; a brother, Bill of Weyauwega; four children: Kim Andrist (Darold) of Dewey, AZ, Becky (Dick) Gerlach of Fountain Hills, AZ, Todd (Karrie) Kadolph of Fremont, WI, and Bart (Linda) Kadolph of Hamilton, MT; son-in-law, Peter Sherwood of New Market, AL; nine grandsons, two granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Sherwood of New Market, AL; and her sisters: Wynn (Eugene) Koplien and Shirley (Donald) Braun, both of Weyauwega, WI.
Sharon was blessed with a heart of gold, loved by all who knew her, and will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank the staff, especially Lauranne and Tammy at Living Tree Estates, Greenville, WI, and Maureen and staff from Moments Hospice for making Sharon's last days enjoyable for her and making her smile every day.
