Steven A. Artis

Steven A. Artis, age 65, of Weyauwega, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born on January 9, 1959, in Hillsboro, Vernon County, son of the late Robert and Loveless (Chumbley) Artis.

Steve married the love of his life, Naomi Lippert, twice; the first time in 1988 and then again in 2003. He attended Waupaca High School. Over the years, Steve held many different jobs. He managed Enterprise Express in Appleton, was a dispatcher for Transtar Trucking, and also worked many years at Swiderski until the Lawn, Garden and Recreation Department closed. In 2012, he started his own business, Service Power Sports, in Weyauwega and then in 2021, he opened a second store in Waupaca.

Steve had many hobbies. He loved sports cars, especially his 1969 and 2010 Camaros. He liked NASCAR and was a huge Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan and went to many Bristol races with close friends. Steve also enjoyed boating, his trips to the Bahamas, Colorado, and Tennessee, and loved his dogs Bristol and Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi; brother, Terry (Beverly) Artis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Helding; 2 brothers-in-law: Ronald Utecht and Walter Juslen; father-in-law, Walter Lippert.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Steve's life will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center.
