Susan M. Powell

Susan M. Powell, age 70, of Ogdensburg, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was born in Tigerton, WI, daughter of the late Marvin and Doris (Peterson) Diem.

Susan graduated from New London High School in 1973. She married Charles Bonikowske and had three boys. They would later divorce. She then married Steven Powell and they had a "Brady Bunch" with Sue's three boys and Steve's three girls. Susan loved to cook, can, garden, read, watch the birds and listen to books. She worked as a graphic artist and later as an Emergency Room Receptionist at Shawano Hospital. She loved her family very much.

Susan is survived by her three children: Scott (Jessica) Bonikowske, Chad (Heidi) Bonikowske, and Kris Bonikowske; her grandchildren: Cynda (Kyle) Spatz, Justine Thayer, Michelle Bonikowske, Tyler Bonikowske, Riley Bonikowske, Jayde Bonikowske; great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kyler, Colt, Kaysen, William, Chloe, Haze, Naomi, Jack, and Ryder; her siblings: Faye (Glen) Hansen, Randy (Veryl) Diem, Jeff (Tori) Diem, and Linda Friday. She is further survived by her former daughter-in-law, BreAnne Loomis, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Steve Powell.

The funeral service for Susan will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Manawa with Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of the service.
