Thomas (Tom) Lee Schuelke, town of Lind, Waupaca Co, age 65, passed away surrounded by his children on April 26, 2025. He was born on September 29, 1959, in New London, the son of Maynard Sr and Janice (Leary) Schuelke. He graduated from Manawa High School in 1979 and started working at the Neenah Foundry, where he worked until he retired. On June 6, 1981, Tom married Renè Guyette and in February 1983 they welcomed a son, Clinton. They divorced in 1986, and Tom met Colleen shortly after. In March 1988 they welcomed a daughter, Nicole, and on September 25, 1988, they were married at the Covered Bridge in Waupaca. In 1990 they welcomed twins, Nathan and Katie, and in 1993 they welcomed a son, Brian.
Tom loved many things but most of all, he loved being around children. His children and grandchildren were his everything and gave him the most joy. Taking them hunting, going for a ride on the tractor, attending the grandchildren's baseball games and swim tournaments, enjoying birthday parties or just having them at the farm; these were many of his favorite moments. He also loved fishing, enjoying the peaceful water with some quiet time. Another hobby he enjoyed was gun hunting; for opening weekend the family would gather at the farm, the guys would go hunting and the girls would hang out with the kids, which created great memories. Tom drove semi-truck for Neenah Foundry for twenty-five years and loved his career as a driver. He also enjoyed working on cars; in his young adult life participating in the demos each year at the Waupaca County Fair and continuously working on vehicles throughout his life. He always knew how to fix the problem at hand and took pride in being there for all of us to take care of our problems (vehicle or otherwise).
Tom is survived by his children and their families: Clint (Jessi) Schuelke, Berlin; Nicole (Trevor) Hofstetter, De Pere; Nathan (Brittaney) Schuelke, Weyauwega; Katie (Keegan) Lewis, Seattle; Brian Schuelke, Waupaca; and Nick Robbert, Weyauwega. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Kaden, Danica, Noelle, Letty, Lincoln and Asher Schuelke. He is also survived by his mother, Janice Schuelke; brothers: Mark (Darlene) Schuelke, Pete Schuelke, Paul Schuelke; and sister, Cindy (Mark) Rohan, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his death by his father, Maynard Schuelke Sr; brother, Maynard Schuelke Jr; and wife, Colleen Schuelke.
A special thank you to St. Elizabeths Hospital and the Cancer Center and to everyone who helped support Tom through his journey.
