Victoria "Vicki" E. Gorges, age 81, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in Appleton. She was born on July 6, 1945 to the late Napolean and Marie (Kuehnl) Wilz in Appleton, and met her husband Larry while attending Fox Valley Lutheran High School where they became high school sweethearts. They were married on February 12, 1965, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2021.
Vicki loved her cats and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed baking and then eating her sweet treats and sharing them with her family. She loved celebrating the Christmas season and anytime she had to spend with her grandchildren. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville.
Vicki is survived by her children, Jon (Nicole) Gorges, Jason (Kerry) Gorges, Jerod (Lisa) Gorges, Jody (Sheri) Gorges, Joe (Stacy) Gorges; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; numerous in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends who are blessed to have been in Vicki's life.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Derrick, five brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Cassie Tolsma, Director of Memory Care, as well as the caring nursing and housekeeping staff at the Primrose Retirement Community who showed love, care, and compassion to Vicki for the five years she lived there, especially the last two years. Thank you also to Jenn Langan and the entire Moments Hospice Staff.
The Christian Funeral for Vicki will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Aaron Schulz officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church. Vicki's service will be livestreamed and can be found on You Tube at: https://www.youtube.com/@immanuellutheranministries9761
