Duane "Woody" M. Niemuth

Duane "Woody" M. Niemuth, age 89, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Shawano Hospital. He was born to the late Harvey and Lucille (Hansen) Niemuth on May 13, 1937.

Woody worked for Gabriels Flower Shop and Floral Hill Cemetery, both in New London. When his younger brother Glen started his business, he helped him out some as well.

He is survived by his brother, Clifford (Sandy) Niemuth of Marion; sister-in-law, Shirley Niemuth of Weyauwega; nieces and nephews: Gladys (Jim Strauch) Niemuth of Clintonville, Brian (Michelle) Niemuth of Marion, Connie, Jeff, and Jeremy Niemuth of Weyauwega, and Cory Propst in Pennsylvania; great nieces and nephews: Josh (Audrey) Gray of Weyauwega, Dakota Hedtke of Weyauwega, Skylar and Ashley Propst of Pennsylvania, and Zara Niemuth of Weyauwega. Woody is further survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Glen and Harland "Tex" (Gloria) Niemuth; niece, Kathy Propst; great niece, Angel Propst; nephews: Ricky and Randy Niemuth.

A celebration of life for Woody will be held at a later date.

The family extends their gratitude to the nursing home staff in Shawano and the doctors and nurses at Shawano hospital for their care.
